Use:  Civil construction, paving in general and roads.

Function: Raw material for various construction products, such as sand for molds  foundry , manufacture of  glass and  fine aggregate in concrete and drains according to their granulometry. ​

Production:  Quartz is extracted by Extrafilito,  in the city of Nova União, MG, approximately 60 km from Belo Horizonte, capital being offered to the market in the raw form "in natura", crushed or processed in hammer mills.
