Founded by entrepreneur Carlo D'artaghan Almeida in the mid- from the 90s, with Razão Social, Extrafilito Mineração Indústria e Comércio Ltda., is located in the city of Nova União, MG, 60 km from Belo Horizonte, maintaining its branch in Caranaíba, MG, 35 km from Conselheiro Lafaiete.
It is configured today as the largest producer of phyllite in the state, making available the following variations: gray; black; cream; pink; yellow and white, in addition to washed sand, ground quartz and graphite.
The company currently has 9 (nine mining rights) and 4 (four) of them are mining decrees and their respective deposits: Cantinho da Natureza and Barro Preto Farm - Capão Branco Mine; Retiro dos Borges Farm - Serra Azul Mine; Fernandes Campestre Farm - Glória Mine and Laranjeiras Farm - Baú Mine.
