EXTRAFILITE MINING
Founded by entrepreneur Carlo D'artaghan Almeida in the mid- from the 90s, with Razão Social, Extrafilito Mineração Indústria e Comércio Ltda., is located in the city of Nova União, MG, 60 km from Belo Horizonte, capital.
It is configured today as the largest producer of phyllite in the state, making available the following variations: gray; black; cream; pink; yellow and white, in addition to washed sand, ground quartz and graphite.
PHYLITE EXTRACTION
Phyllite - is a fine-grained metamorphic rock consisting of kaolinite, sericite and quartz, it is a mineral good with several industrial applications. One of the main uses of phyllite is in the ceramic industry, where it is used as a fluxing agent, helping to melt the ceramic mass for the production of sanitary ware and tableware floors.
