Extrafilito, in one of its environmental preservation actions, promoted the recovery of the springs of a large water source, located inside one of the environmental compensation areas belonging to the company. The photo above reveals the high flow capacity of the spring, a tributary of the Rio Vermelho, an important watercourse of the Rio das Velhas Watershed.  In addition to preventive and repair actions, the company strictly follows environmental legislation, keeping its liabilities under control and seeking partnerships with local governments for selective garbage collection, preservation works, incentives for ecotourism, among other attitudes that make the company a reference in sustainability.
