Use : Civil Construction
Function : The fine sand is used in finishing, laying floors and paintings. The medium sand is used in the preparation of putty and laying of bricks as well as concrete for filling drills, slabs, beams and columns. Coarse sand is used to prepare concrete, roughcast for plastering and drainage.
Production : The fine, medium and coarse sand are extracted by Extrafilito in the city of Caranaíba, MG, located approximately 35 km from the city of Conselheiro Lafaiete, MG. It is offered to the market “in natura”, or washed and sieved.
